POSITION

Iwan Darusuryoatmodjo is Partner at the BATAVIA PATENTSERVIS ASIA (BPA).

Iwan has experiences in industrial design, trademark, patent and copyright prosecutions. 

CAREER
Mr. Darusuryoatmodjo is Registered IP Attorney, with main strength in industrial design, patent and trademark. Prior to joining BPA, he worked with Trademark Group and then Head of Industrial Design Group of AMR Partnership [formerly AMROOS & Partners] (2006-2012). Before that, he started his career as General Manager at Klinik HKI (an IP Clinic) during 1996-2005, where he actively promoted IP through seminars and disseminations to universities, SMEs, and other societies.
He participated or organized various national courses and seminars during 1996-2019. He took AOTS/JIII Training for IP Operational Staff, Tokyo Japan (1998). In 1992 he enjoyed staying for several months in Yokohama. To updating IP knowledge, he also took Course on International Trademark Law & Practice, in Boston, 2019; attended China IP Seminars in Shanghai, 2019, Singapore IP Weeks, 2019, and AIPPI Congress in London 2019.
He is member of AKHKI, APAA and INTA. He attended professional associations’ meeting and seminars held by APAA, INTA, AIPPI as well as WIPO seminars.
Currently, he participates in the country’s IP Attorneys organization (AKHKI) as one of Board’s members.
